“Alia has been a kind, caring and professional vet physio to our elderly dog Sky, helping her retain her mobility and a good quality of life. Sky adored Alia so it was a successful and joyful partnership for around three years until the end of Sky’s life after 18 happy years”

Liz, Sky’s owner

“I turned to Alia at Cotswold Vet Physio when my mini dachshund had to have a back op having been paralysed by a slipped disc. With such a dramatic injury we didn’t know what to expect but the results Alia achieved are nothing short of miraculous!

Her thorough professionalism and genuine concern, going above and beyond any expectations to deliver truly fantastic results were exceptional. From week one when my beloved daxy could barely stand, let alone walk, to week ten when she was happily strolling along in the water treadmill, Alia motivated and coached every step. She provided achievable, tailored goals and exercises to back up her excellent sessions and was a huge support to me as well as my Dax. I wouldn’t (and don’t!) hesitate to recommend Alia for any kind of physio work from dachshund to dressage horse.

An enormous part of my now having my Daxy back able to run around and create mischief with the others is due to Alia’s forward thinking and caring, knowledgeable approach so I can’t recommend her highly enough – thank you!”

“Alia regularly checks and treats our horses to ensure that they are in great condition and performing at their optimum level. Alia is great with the horses and we highly recommend her”

“We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Alia and Cotswold vet Physio, Alia has been looking after Prince since September 2018 and she continues to take great care of him on his regular visits, His recovery has definitely been helped by having sessions in the water treadmill, followed by his massage & laser treatment.

Prince was a bit nervous having come from the shelter, but Alia didn’t rush him and he soon realised she was one of the good ones and was more than happy to keep going back.

We have an hours drive to take Prince to see Alia but its more than worth it, to know he’s getting the best treatment he could with someone he’s relaxed and happy to be with.

Prince as gone from being on painkillers and having short 10 minute walks to having at least two hour daily walks pain free with no need for medication”

Scott, Prince’s owner

“Excellent service, my dogs feel safe and comfortable in every session. I would definitely recommend Alia to all dog owners who require physio/hydro after surgery or suffering with arthritic symptoms. I see a noticeable difference after each session” ⠀⠀⠀⠀

“Kali’s cruciate ligament required an extensive repair operation and she had severe bruising over most of her hind quarter, all for the pleasure of chasing a rabbit! Some six weeks after the operation, when Kali was continuing to avoid bearing weight on the leg, we were referred by our vet to Cotswold Vet Physio.

Alia is a very proficient Veterinary Physiotherapist who was able to apply a broad scope of treatment including massage, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, red phototherapy, as well as the underwater treadmill sessions. We were even given homework in the form of sets of daily exercises for Kali!

It has been a long road, but after several months of perseverance, Alia’s treatment has restored Kali’s mobility to at least 90% and her gait appears almost normal. We have been very impressed with Alia’s knowledge of her subject and her empathy with our dog. This, together with her attention to detail, has meant that she has picked up quickly on any subtle changes in Kali’s symptoms and been able to address them.

Alia has also been able to advise us on the amount and intensity of daily exercise which is most beneficial for Kali, so that we neither over- nor under-exercise her, thereby maintaining her physical health at an optimum level.

We would definitely recommend anyone to take their dog to Alia if it suffers from mobility problems. She provides a highly professional, competent and friendly service – and she genuinely cares about your animal.”

Duncan, Kali’s owner

”Poppy has been receiving treatment since her cast came off her fractured hind leg. She has done so well with the care she’s received at Cotswold Vet Physio. She has been using the water treadmill since her first session and is going from strength to strength (literally) since.

Alia is very patient, caring and encouraging to Poppy, who is a live wire. Poppy’s sessions in the water treadmill have increased in length of time and her leg is doing so well. She has benefited so much already and will continue to do, I’ve no doubt at all. I’m so very grateful for all the help she has had and will continue to have”

David, Poppy’s owner

“I can highly recommend Alia for Physio treatment for your dog – not only has she a great understanding of the physiology of a dog and appropriate treatment needs but she is an obvious dog/animal lover from the way she handles them. My little Yorkie Benny has benefited greatly from visits after his cruciate ligament tear and also with his arthritis, in particular (but not only) due to her fabulous water treadmill. She has carefully and steadily built up the amount he exercises on it and given us an exercise regime to do at home for continuing to build his muscles in between sessions, building on it only after careful questioning on how he’s doing and assessing his progress. Thank you Alia for all your fantastic help with Benny!”

Valerie, Benny’s owner

“Alia came highly recommended by our Vet to help with our chocolate labradors hip dysplasia and we can now see why after starting our sessions a few months ago. We have seen so much of an improvement in Boris and all the help, advice and support has been invaluable for us to get Boris back to enjoying his walks again. The facilities at Cotswold Physio are excellent and Boris loves getting in the treadmill!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Alia is caring and shows dedication to making Boris get back to his bouncy self. We would highly recommend Cotswold Physio and really appreciate everything Alia has done to make Boris feel better”

Katie, Boris’s owner

“We have been seeing Alia now for well over a year and I can honestly say I don’t think Sally (age 16) would be her today if it wasn’t for Alia. Sally has arthritis in her front legs and some muscle deterioration in her back legs. She is unable to take pain relief so with regular physio sessions and exercises which Alia has given us to do at home has helped to keep her mobile. Twice a day Sally is still able to walk to and from the park due to Alia’s kind, gentle and professional approach”

Julie, Sally’s owner

“Chudleigh was in a very sorry state when he met Alia following surgery for a ruptured disc but over the months with her care and expertise he is well on the road to recovery. Alia has a great way with dogs- she has managed to earn the love of this most particularly nervous/ grumpy terrier who is always keen for our visits and leaves each seasons pain free and happy”

Bryony, Chudleigh’s owner

I have been taking my old lurched, Frank to Cotswold Vet Physio for a couple of months now after my vet recommended Alia. Frank loves going and Alia is fantastic with him- so much so, he never wants to leave after his treatment. I noticed a big improvement after the first session and the exercises that we were given to do at home were easy to follow and Frank enjoyed doing them. Frank is getting better and I can’t recommend Alia highly enough

Georgie, Frank’s owner

Alia clearly ADORES animals and is kind and sensitive to their needs. Chansey totally trust her and her movement is improving with each visit.

Our dog Dino was always happy to visit Alia ( many, many times) and particularly liked her supply of treats!

John, Dino’s owner

“We went for our first session with our 8 month old French Bulldog, Millie. Millie has been diagnosed with a luxating knee. We were made very welcome and the information given was amazing. Millie was made very comfortable and really enjoyed her first session. Can’t wait to go back for her second. Thank you Cotswold Vet Physio”

Justin, Millie’s owner

“Alia is very professional,  caring, knowledgeable and loves animals. Willow is a very nervous dog in new situations and Alia immediately put her at ease. Furthermore, her physio did the trick and Willow is now back to normal exercise. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Alia”

Carol and Brian, Willow’s owners

“Alia is so knowledgeable and gentle. My dog is shy and Alia was brilliant with him. Within minutes he was snuggling into her arms and completely relaxed. Under her guidance, my dog is making progress. I am delighted to have found her and can’t recommend Alia highly enough”

Joy, Gerry’s owner

Gus our English springer spaniel received superb attention when recovering from two cruciate ligament operations  and then arthritis during cancer treatment in his later years. He loved the treatment sessions and then sniffing out the treats at the end. Thank you for all the genuine care given to him over the years.

Melanie, Gus’ owner

“Alia has helped us with two dogs: Palliative care for our previous Lab, Fennel, when she had cancer – just helping her to relax and be calm. A regime of physio for our new Lab, Maia, who (despite good genetics and carefully managed levels of exercise as a puppy) developed the first signs of hip dysplasia by the age of 6 months. By helping us to build up the muscle on the hip, and exercises to remind Maia to walk properly, at nearly 2 years old most people wouldn’t realise there had ever been a problem and Maia will be able to lead a full and active working life. Now that Alia can offer hydrotherapy as well as physio, she must be the go-to physical therapist for all dog owners”

Rob, Maia’s owner

A few months ago we inherited a sheltie, Jamie, who arrived with us with severe problems with his hips and in great pain. Over the last six months Alia has worked on him with fantastic results. Throughout our visits she has worked professionally with good rapport with Jamie (and us!) and she has always fully explained his treatment and the exercises we had to do with him. Incredibly as far as we are concerned we only have to say her name and he is at the door eager to go for treatment! All we can really say is a huge ‘thank you’ to Alia for giving us a young dog who is now virtually free from pain and who has a real joy for life.

Sheila, Jamie’s owner

“Alia was recommended to me through a friend as my hunt horse Bailey had landed awkwardly after jumping one day and did not feel quite right. Alia was extremely thorough in her treatment of him and I felt confident in her professionalism and rapport with my horse. Bailey has since been jumping fantastically! I would not hesitate to recommend her”
